This pre-owned PRS S2 Vela Semi-Hollow in McCarty Burst is in very good condition with scratches on the body and pickguard, and it pairs an all-mahogany semi-hollow body with a pickup set that covers a wide tonal range from warm and mellow to bright and cutting. The Narrowfield in the neck position behaves like a low-output P-90 crossed with a single-coil, delivering clear articulation without the mud you can get from a full humbucker in that position. The DS-01 at the bridge sits somewhere between a Filter'Tron and a PAF-style humbucker, producing a punchy, chimey response that suits clean and light-gain playing well. A coil-tap on the tone control splits the DS-01 to single-coil mode, expanding the tonal options further. The 25" scale length and 10" fingerboard radius on the rosewood board keep the feel familiar for players coming from standard Gibson or Fender territory. The PRS plate-style bridge is top-loading for easy restringing and uses brass saddles over a steel plate for sustain and intonation stability. This is a practical choice for a player who wants US-made PRS build quality, versatile pickups, and a semi-hollow format at a price well below the core line. Comes with a gigbag.
