The Boucher HG-144-U is a parlor guitar built at the upper end of the Canadian builder's catalog, pairing a Master Grade Adirondack Spruce top with back and sides cut from AAAAA Honduran Quilted Mahogany that was logged over 130 years ago and shipped to Philadelphia before the turn of the 20th century. That age-dried mahogany produces faster response and more complex overtone development than modern-harvest tonewood, and the Adirondack top handles dynamic range without compressing under hard playing. Solid ebony on both the bridge and fingerboard adds mass and sustain while keeping the setup stable long-term.
