The D-18 sits at the core of Martin's catalog - a dreadnought built on Adirondack-adjacent fundamentals with a solid spruce top and mahogany back and sides. The ebony fingerboard and bridge add stiffness to the playing surface and saddle transfer, which tightens note definition compared to rosewood equivalents, while the High Performance Taper neck profile suits players who want a faster feel without a razor-thin grip. The Aging Toner finish takes the visual edge off a new guitar without altering the acoustic properties.
