Description
The Fender Custom Shop Limited 1964 L-Series Stratocaster Time Capsule is a focused recreation of the transitional-era Strat, built with an alder body, quartersawn maple neck with a '63 C profile, and a AAA rosewood fingerboard on a 9.5-inch radius. The hand-wound '64 Strat and '64 Fat Strat pickups deliver glassy single-coil clarity with a slightly fatter voice in the neck position, covering ground from snappy and articulate to warm and full. The Time Capsule treatment preserves the guitar in a lightly aged state that suggests careful storage rather than years of play. Ships in a Custom Shop hardshell case with free shipping to the continental U.S., and qualifies for complimentary PLEK service performed in-house before shipping as well as a limited lifetime warranty.
