The Fender Custom Shop Vintage Custom Hardtail Stratocaster Time Capsule Relic pairs a fixed-bridge Strat platform with hand-wound '59 Strat pickups in a Faded/Aged Sonic Blue finish over an alder body. The 1959 D neck profile in rift sawn maple with a AAA rosewood fingerboard and 7.25-to-9.5-inch compound radius delivers a vintage feel that opens up in the upper registers, while the hardtail bridge adds sustain and tuning stability compared to a tremolo-equipped Strat. The hand-wound pickups produce glassy, articulate single-coil tones with a snappy midrange character. Ships in a Custom Shop hardshell case with free shipping to the continental U.S., complimentary PLEK service performed in-house before shipping, and a limited lifetime warranty.
