The Gibson '61 SG Standard Ultra Heavy Aged is a Custom Shop instrument finished in Aged Double Gold, with heavy aging applied across the body, hardware, and neck to replicate decades of hard use. Its pair of unpotted Custombucker Alnico III humbuckers deliver an open, articulate response with the dynamic sensitivity that potted pickups lose, set into a lightweight mahogany body with a 1961 Thin D mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard. Ships in a Custom Shop hardshell case with complimentary PLEK service performed in-house before shipping, a limited lifetime warranty, and free shipping to the continental U.S.
