The PRS SE Hollowbody Piezo is a dual-output hollowbody built around a co-designed LR Baggs/PRS piezo system that gives players credible acoustic tones alongside full electric capability in a single instrument. The hollow maple body with mahogany center post delivers genuine resonance while the structural post keeps feedback manageable at stage volumes - a practical advantage most true hollowbodies can't match. Dual output jacks let you blend the piezo and magnetic signals through one amp or split them to separate electric and acoustic amplification simultaneously, which is genuinely useful for gigging players who don't want to carry two guitars.
The 58/15 LT "S" humbuckers are PAF-style pickups that deliver articulate, dynamic response and hold up cleanly under drive. The Wide Fat mahogany neck on a 25" scale with an ebony fingerboard plays with a substantial feel. This guitar suits singer-songwriters, working musicians, and players who move between acoustic textures and electric tones within a set. The included hardshell case adds real value at this price.
