The Bourgeois Touchstone OM LSH is an orchestra-body acoustic built around a Thermo-Cured Adirondack Spruce top - a torrefied top that removes the compounds dampening vibration in new wood, so the guitar responds and opens up like a broken-in instrument from the first session. The LSH designation refers to the large soundhole, a vintage pre-war feature that delivers more presence and overall volume than a standard OM soundhole on the same body. Indian Rosewood back and sides pair with that top to produce even string-to-string balance with strong projection, while the Honduran Mahogany neck, ebony fingerboard, and ebony bridge keep the voice articulate and focused. At a 25.5" scale and 12" fingerboard radius, the setup suits players who want precise intonation across the neck, whether they're working through fingerstyle arrangements or open tunings.
The Touchstone Series uses a hybrid build process - tops hand-voiced and Adirondack-braced in Maine by Dana Bourgeois and his team, then finished by trained luthiers - which is how Bourgeois delivers this level of construction and material quality at this price point. This guitar suits a fingerstyle player or singer-songwriter who wants a single instrument that handles delicacy and volume without compromise.
