About Gibson Acoustic Guitars

Gibson acoustics have been built in Bozeman, Montana since 1989, where a dedicated team continues designs that go back to the 1930s. The J-45, introduced in 1942 and nicknamed the workhorse, set the standard for the round-shouldered dreadnought. The SJ-200 earned the title King of the Flat-Tops with its big maple body and commanding projection, and the square-shouldered Hummingbird became one of the most recognizable acoustics ever made.

Today the lineup spans working-player Studio models, the flagship Standards, and Custom Shop recreations of golden-era instruments, including Banner-era J-45 reissues and Murphy Lab aged examples. Every Gibson acoustic we stock is listed individually by serial number, so you can see the exact top and grain of the guitar you will receive.
