Righteous Guitars is an authorized Gallagher dealer. Gallagher guitars have been handmade in Tennessee since 1965, built in small numbers with a voice made for flatpicking and bluegrass, and our inventory rotates through the Bluegrass Bell family, Doc Watson models, and the G series, with every guitar inspected and set up by our repair team before it ships.

Qualifying guitars over $3,000 receive complimentary PLEK service on Georgia's only PLEK station. Trade-ins are welcome, financing is available, and if you are near Atlanta you can play any in-stock Gallagher in person at our Roswell showroom.

About Gallagher Guitars

Gallagher guitars have been handmade in Tennessee since 1965, when furniture maker J.W. Gallagher sawed a dreadnought in half to figure out how it was built, then set out to build a better one. The company earned worldwide recognition when Doc Watson made a Gallagher G-50 his primary instrument, nicknamed Ol' Hoss, bringing the small-shop builder to stages and recordings around the world. Three generations of Gallaghers carried the tradition forward, and today the shop continues under the stewardship of David Mathis, honoring that legacy while pushing the craft forward.

As an authorized Gallagher dealer we stock the lineup as it comes available: the Bluegrass Bell family with torrefied Adirondack spruce tops, Doc Watson models with mahogany bodies and spruce tops, and instruments from the G and GA series alongside occasional customs and artist signature models. Each guitar is listed individually by serial number, so the one you see is the one you get.

How to Choose a Gallagher

Gallagher's lineup is compact, so the choice mostly comes down to which body recipe fits your playing. Here is how the main families compare.

The Bluegrass Bell

The Bluegrass Bell is Gallagher's modern flagship dreadnought, built for flatpickers who need volume, headroom, and a clear low end. Each one pairs a torrefied Adirondack spruce top with rosewood, mahogany, or figured sapele back and sides: rosewood for depth and sparkle, mahogany for a drier punch, and sapele in between. Traditional neck carves and bone nuts keep the feel familiar.

Doc Watson models and the G series

The Doc Watson models carry the legacy of Ol' Hoss, the Gallagher G-50 Doc made his primary instrument, with mahogany back and sides under a spruce top for a dry, woody voice that rewards a flatpick. The G series, including the G-50 and G-70, is the classic Gallagher line of traditional dreadnoughts. These families rotate through our inventory in small numbers, so contact us and we will tell you exactly what is in the shop.

Customs and signature models
