The Fender Custom Shop 1956 Stratocaster Journeyman Relic in Aged Black pairs an ash body with a plain grain maple neck carved to a '54 Strat Soft V profile, finished with moderate playing wear that suggests years of use without masking the wood underneath. Hand-wound '55 Strat pickups deliver glassy, articulate single-coil tone with a snappy attack, while the 7.25-to-9.5-inch compound radius fingerboard offers vintage feel in the lower positions and easier bending up the neck. Ships brand new in a Custom Shop hardshell case with free shipping to the continental U.S., and qualifies for complimentary PLEK service performed in-house before shipping as well as a limited lifetime warranty.
