The Boucher GR-HG-166-T sits at the top of Boucher's Heritage Goose series, pairing a torrefied Adirondack red spruce top with a torrefied flame maple back and sides in a 000/auditorium body - a combination that favors projection and note separation over warmth. Torrefaction accelerates the aging process in the wood, meaning this guitar plays and responds more like a broken-in instrument from day one, with faster attack and reduced muddiness across the frequency range. The ebony fingerboard and bridge add stiffness to the platform, keeping the low end controlled and the articulation tight on a 25.5" scale.
