The D-28 1937 Authentic is Martin's most historically faithful recreation of their pre-war dreadnought, built to the specs that defined what an acoustic guitar could do before the simplifications of wartime production changed everything. Adirondack spruce with the Vintage Tone System, Guatemalan rosewood back and sides, and an authentic 1937 neck profile with standard taper put this as close to a 1930s D-28 as you can get without buying one.
