Description
The Santa Cruz OM Grand Custom is a full-scale fingerstyle and flatpicking instrument built in Santa Cruz's small-batch shop, combining the OM's balanced voice with a wider lower bout for added low-end projection. This custom-spec example pairs premium Bear Claw Moon Spruce with their signature scalloped bracing, producing clear note separation and dynamic range across the frequency spectrum. Ships brand new with an Ameritage Hardshell case, complimentary PLEK, and our limited lifetime warranty.
Specs
This custom OM Grand from our friends at Santa Cruz Guitar Company is not only visually distinctive, but comfortable under the hands. Sycamore is not a common back-and-sides choice, but this cut showed exceptional figure and we commissioned the build around it. What a fortuitous decision that was! We chose to pair it with a beautiful bear claw Moon spruce top to add a bit of stiffness and power to the already potent OM Grand body. This is a balanced and powerful guitar that has articulate note separation and a clean fundamental across the range. Happy with a pick or finger-style, this is a strong all-around performer. We decided to wrap the package up with snakewood binding all around and a matching snakewood rosette along with a headstock veneer from the same wood as the back to tie it all together.
