Description
This is Fender's Limited American Ultra II Telecaster in Antique Olive, a US-made solidbody that pairs the modern Ultra II platform with Custom Shop Texas Special pickups - a meaningful departure from the noiseless set found in the standard version. The Texas Specials are overwound Alnico 5 single-coils with a copper-plated steel bridge plate, delivering punchy, articulate output with strong midrange presence and the kind of raw Tele character that hum-canceling pickups intentionally smooth over. Players who want bite and dynamic response will find these more assertive than the noiseless alternative.
The alder body includes Ultra Contours - a belly cut and forearm relief - that soften the Telecaster's traditionally squared-off feel without changing its fundamental character. The roasted quartersawn maple neck runs a Modern D profile over a 10"-14" compound radius roasted maple fingerboard, flatter toward the upper frets to ease single-note work higher on the neck. A TUSQ nut and string-through-body 6-saddle bridge support intonation precision and sustain. This guitar suits a gigging or experienced player who wants a production US Telecaster with stage-ready hardware and the tonal presence of traditional single-coils. The Antique Olive finish is a Limited-run exclusive.
