Description
The Taylor Gold Label 512e is a Grand Concert acoustic-electric built for players who want a focused, midrange-forward voice in a compact, comfortable body. The torrefied Sitka spruce top has undergone a roasting process that mimics decades of cellular aging, giving it a broken-in responsiveness and dry, woody character from day one. Tropical mahogany back and sides keep the fundamental clear and controlled, while Taylor's Fanned V-Class bracing adds volume, sustain, and low-end presence that punches beyond what the body size would typically deliver.
The 24-7/8" scale length and Standard Carve neck profile reduce string tension, making bends and complex chord shapes easier to execute - a natural fit for fingerstyle players and singer-songwriters. Taylor's Action Control Neck joint allows player-adjustable string height through the soundhole, so setup stays precise without a luthier visit. The LR Baggs Element VTC undersaddle pickup is voiced to track the movement of the top, producing a transparent, warm plugged-in signal that translates well for both live performance and recording. A deluxe hardshell case is included.
