The Gibson Dove Original is one of Gibson's square-shoulder dreadnought flagships, distinguished by its flame maple back and sides paired with a Sitka spruce top, a combination that produces a bright, projecting voice with clear note separation and controlled low-end. The rounded mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard with a 12-inch radius keep the playability straightforward across the 25.5-inch scale, while the LR Baggs VTC pickup provides a balanced, natural-sounding amplified tone without an external preamp. Ships with a hardshell case, complimentary PLEK service performed in-house before shipping, a limited lifetime warranty, and free shipping to the continental U.S.
