The Gibson 1960 Hummingbird Light Aged is a Murphy Lab recreation of the first-year Hummingbird, featuring a thermally aged Sitka spruce top over mahogany back and sides with period-correct appointments including mother of pearl parallelogram inlays and a traditional belly-up rosewood bridge. The thermal aging process opens up the top to deliver a broken-in, articulate response with strong projection and balanced low-end warmth that a new production spruce top typically needs years to develop. The rounded mahogany neck sits comfortably at the 24.75-inch scale length, and the bone nut contributes to clear note definition across the register. Ships with a hardshell case, complimentary PLEK service performed in-house before shipping, a limited lifetime warranty, and free shipping to the continental U.S.
