The Bourgeois Country Boy/TS is an OM-format acoustic built around a hand-voiced Alaskan Sitka Spruce top and mahogany back, sides, and neck - a pairing that delivers strong fundamental response, clear note separation, and the kind of direct, focused tone that works across fingerpicking and flatpicking. The "TS" designates the Touchstone Series, in which Dana Bourgeois and his Lewiston, Maine team select, brace, and hand-voice each spruce top before final assembly and setup - a process that puts boutique-level voicing into a more accessible price range.
The 25.5" scale adds string tension that keeps chords tight and single notes articulate, while the OM body size keeps the overall response balanced rather than boomy. Ebony on both the fingerboard and bridge contributes durability and note definition. At just over four pounds, the guitar sits lightly and comfortably for extended sessions. This is a strong fit for singer-songwriters, fingerstyle players, and flatpickers who want a mahogany-voiced instrument with a Bourgeois-voiced top - without stepping into custom-shop pricing.
