The Charvel American Neo-Classic San Dimas Style 1 HH FR is a USA-built, alder-body solidbody built around the original hot-rodded San Dimas format - a practical choice for players who want a Floyd Rose-equipped, high-output guitar without compromising on construction quality. The quartersawn maple neck, reproduced from 1980 specs and reinforced with graphite, resists seasonal movement and keeps the 25.5" scale feeling consistent year-round. The 12"-to-16" compound fingerboard radius is flatter toward the upper frets, which keeps bent notes from fretting out during lead playing. Seymour Duncan's '59 SH-1N at the neck delivers articulate, balanced output well-suited to rhythm work and clean tones, while the JB TB-4 at the bridge is punchy with a pronounced upper-midrange character that suits high-gain playing and sustains well when you solo.
The Floyd Rose 1000 Series locking tremolo holds tune through aggressive use and is top-mounted on this build. A push/pull coil split on the volume control adds single-coil-adjacent tones, and the no-load tone control removes itself from the circuit at position ten for a more direct signal path.
