Description
The Eastman E3DE is a dreadnought acoustic-electric built on an all-solid tonewood platform - solid Sitka spruce top over solid ovangkol back and sides - at a price point where many competitors still use laminate. Ovangkol delivers a tonal character similar to rosewood but with a drier, more focused quality: deep bass, full mids, and clear top-end presence. The hand-carved scalloped X-bracing lets the top move freely, supporting the projection and volume that the dreadnought body format is built for. An ebony fingerboard and bridge add durability and a crisp attack to note definition, while the bone nut improves open-string resonance and tuning stability compared to synthetic alternatives.
The 25.4" scale and 12" fingerboard radius work well for players used to standard dreadnought geometry. A factory-installed Fishman Sonitone pickup means the guitar is ready to plug in without an aftermarket installation. The Traditional Even C neck profile is a familiar, neutral shape that suits a wide range of playing styles, from strumming to flatpicking. A padded gig bag is included. Players who want all-solid construction, stage-ready electronics, and premium hardware without crossing into higher price territory will find the E3DE a well-considered choice.
