Description
The Fender Eric Clapton Stratocaster is a signature model built around a specific set of player-driven specs that separate it from a standard Strat. The alder body pairs with a maple neck in a Soft V profile - Fender's take on a '50s V shape with the sharpest edge softened out, a profile that suits players who rest their thumb over the top edge of the neck. The electronics are where this guitar earns its keep: three Vintage Noiseless single-coils deliver a hum-free single-coil voice, and those are backed by a TBX tone control and a 25 dB active mid-boost that lets you push into humbucker output territory without touching your amp or pedals. The 9.5" fingerboard radius and 25.5" scale keep the playing feel squarely in classic Strat territory. The 6-saddle American Vintage synchronized tremolo is blocked - a deliberate Clapton spec that trades whammy use for hard-tail-like tuning stability and increased sustain. This pre-owned example is in excellent condition with minimal wear, comes with a hardshell case, and lands at 7 lb 10.8 oz, which is on the lighter end for this model. The Pewter finish is an uncommon color for this guitar, which matters if you care about standing out from the standard-issue Strats on the wall.
