Description
The Furch Blue BARc-SWa VTC is a baritone grand auditorium with a cutaway, built for players who need extended low-end range without sacrificing acoustic clarity. The 710mm scale - roughly 60mm longer than a standard guitar - is engineered to intonate accurately at baritone tuning, typically a fourth lower than standard (B to B), and the bracing is specifically voiced for that lower register rather than adapted from a standard pattern. Sitka spruce over black walnut produces a tonally balanced response across the full range, with clear midrange definition that keeps baritone voicings from getting muddy. Furch's open-pore finish leaves the wood pores exposed, preserving the natural resonance of the tonewoods rather than sealing them under a thick lacquer. The ebony fingerboard uses shortened frets that stop short of the fretboard edges, preventing fret sprout caused by humidity-related wood shrinkage - a practical durability detail on a guitar built to work hard. The CNR System active neck joint maintains structural stability and consistent geometry over time. The factory-installed LR Baggs Element Active System (VTC) makes this a plug-and-play acoustic-electric, so you're stage-ready out of the box. A molded hardshell case is included.
