The Gibson 1958 Les Paul Standard Reissue in Lemon Burst is a Custom Shop build aimed at players who want period-correct construction rather than a production-line approximation of a vintage Les Paul. The one-piece lightweight mahogany body pairs with a two-piece plain maple top - joined with hide glue - and a solid mahogany neck carved to a substantial 1950s Chunky D profile, so the feel in hand matches what players were actually playing in 1958. Scale length is 24.75" with a 12" fingerboard radius, and the Indian rosewood board carries Historic Narrow/Tall frets that let more wood contact the string - a detail that influences how the guitar transfers vibration. The unpotted Custombucker Alnico III humbuckers are Gibson's closest replication of original PAF behavior: Alnico III produces articulate highs and a clear midrange response that cleans up well when you roll back the volume, making this a strong fit for blues, classic rock, and any style that rewards dynamic pickup response. The Murphy Lab Light Aged treatment gives the nitrocellulose finish subtle checking and a lightly worn character that sits between the understated VOS treatment and the more heavily distressed Heavy Aged tier. Hardware is period-correct throughout: ABR-1 Tune-o-Matic, lightweight aluminum stop bar, and Kluson-style tuners. At this price point, the guitar ships with a Custom Shop hardshell case, and Righteous Guitars includes complimentary PLEK service and a limited lifetime warranty.
