Description
The Gibson 1959 Les Paul Standard Reissue Heavy Aged in Faded Peach Burst is a Custom Shop Limited Edition built to the full vintage specification of the original late-'50s Les Paul, and at $9,000 it arrives with the construction detail and aging work to justify that commitment. The body pairs an AAA figured maple top with a one-piece solid mahogany back - no weight relief, hide-glue fit - which Gibson credits for the resonance and sustain that define the best examples of the era. The one-piece mahogany neck is carved to the Authentic '59 Medium C profile, joined via a long neck tenon, and topped with a rosewood fingerboard at a 12" radius with 22 medium-jumbo frets and aged cellulose trapezoid inlays. Matched Custombucker Alnico 4 humbuckers with aged nickel covers are voiced for the harmonic complexity and dynamic range associated with original PAF pickups, giving you a broad tonal spread from clean through heavy overdrive. The Murphy Lab Heavy Aged nitrocellulose finish introduces lacquer checking and softened edges that replicate a well-played original rather than a display piece. Period-accurate hardware includes an ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic, Stop Bar tailpiece, and Kluson Deluxe tuners. This guitar ships with an aged hardshell case and a Certificate of Authenticity, and as a Righteous Guitars purchase over $3,000 it includes a complimentary PLEK setup and our limited lifetime warranty.
