Description
This pre-owned Gibson Les Paul Standard '50s in TV Yellow stands out from the standard '50s model because the top is solid mahogany rather than maple, giving the all-mahogany build a warmer, more midrange-forward tonal character. Burstbucker 1 and 2 humbuckers - Alnico II, PAF-inspired designs - deliver a balanced, vintage-voiced output that cleans up well with the volume knob. The hand-wired electronics with Orange Drop capacitors keep the signal path transparent. A Vintage '50s rounded neck profile runs along a 24.75" scale with a 12" radius rosewood fingerboard and 22 medium-jumbo frets - a fuller, chunkier feel compared to the '60s slim-taper profile. The ABR-1 bridge and aluminum stop bar tailpiece are period-correct hardware that support intonation and sustain without compromise. This pre-owned example is in very good condition with light scratches and light hardware oxidation, and it ships with its original hardshell case.
