Description
The Martin D-41 is a full dreadnought built on a solid Sitka spruce top over solid East Indian rosewood back and sides, with GE scalloped forward-shifted X-bracing drawn from Martin's prewar designs - a construction choice that translates directly into stronger projection and touch-sensitive dynamic response. The ebony fingerboard and bridge add durability and contribute to note clarity and sustain, while the 25.4" scale length and 16" fingerboard radius give the instrument a familiar feel for players moving between rhythm and lead work. The GE Modified Low Oval neck profile with High-Performance Taper progressively thins toward the upper frets, which suits players who spend time across the whole neck. Cosmetically, the D-41 steps above Martin's D-28 with hand-inlaid abalone reduced hexagon fingerboard inlays, an abalone rosette, and gold open-gear tuners - premium appointments without pushing into the upper tier of Martin's price range. This guitar suits fingerstyle players, flatpickers, and strummers who want a dreadnought capable of holding its own on stage or in the studio. A hardshell case, complimentary PLEK setup, and limited lifetime warranty are included with this purchase.
