Description
The Taylor GS Mini is a scaled-down Grand Symphony body acoustic built for players who want a capable, full-voiced guitar in a compact, travel-friendly format. The 23.5" scale length keeps tension relaxed under your fingers, and at under 3 pounds 10 ounces, it travels without effort. The torrefied Sitka spruce top has been heat-treated to remove excess moisture, which gives the wood an openness and responsiveness closer to a well-played-in guitar than you'd typically find at this price. Layered sapele back and sides add humidity resistance and road-worthiness while contributing a focused, clear character that works equally well for strumming, flatpicking, or fingerstyle. The ebony fingerboard and bridge are dense and stable, and the 15.75" fingerboard radius suits a wide range of playing styles. A pre-installed bracket also supports the optional ES-Go soundhole pickup if you eventually need to plug in. Taylor includes a padded gig bag, so this is ready to travel from day one. It suits a first-time player looking for a manageable setup, an experienced player needing a reliable travel or practice guitar, or a songwriter who wants something that records cleanly without excessive low-end bloom.
