The E-Series is Eastman's traditional flat-top line: all-solid woods, dovetail neck joints, and pre-war body shapes at prices that undercut everything comparable. From the sapele E1D to the rosewood E40D, these are the guitars that built Eastman's reputation, and every one ships set up from our Roswell, GA shop.

About the Eastman E-Series

Eastman's E-Series reads like a tour of the golden era: dreadnoughts (D), orchestra models (OM), slope shoulders (SS), OOs, and parlors (P), each tiered by tonewood as the model number climbs. The E1 and E2 models pair solid spruce with sapele, the middle of the line brings mahogany and rosewood, and the E20 and E40 models are the full traditional spec with premium rosewood. Thermo-Cure (TC) models add a torrefied top, baked to sound like it has been played since the fifties. Stock rotates with every Eastman shipment: the exact models on this page change, but the E-Series wall in our showroom stays full.

Frequently asked questions

How do E-Series model names work?

The number is the tonewood tier and the letters are the body shape. An E10D is a tier-10 dreadnought, an E20OM is a tier-20 orchestra model, SS means slope shoulder, OO is the smaller parlor-adjacent body, and P is parlor. A TC suffix means a Thermo-Cure torrefied top, and /v means the Antique Varnish finish.

What is the difference between the E10D and the E20D?

Mostly the back and sides: the E10D pairs an Adirondack spruce top with mahogany for punch and warmth, while the E20D moves to rosewood for more overtones and low-end bloom. Both are all-solid guitars with the same neck feel; which is better is a taste question, and our showroom usually has both to compare.

The E-Series model I want is sold out. When will it return?

Eastman ships in small batches, so individual models rotate through the year. Call or email and we will tell you what is on the next order, and we can usually reserve one for you.
