About the Eastman SB Series

Eastman applies its archtop carving to solidbodies here. The SB59 pairs a hand-carved maple top with a mahogany body and premium humbuckers; the SB59/v adds the Antique Varnish treatment. The SB57 and SB56 put the same carved construction behind different pickup and trim combinations, and the SB55 strips the recipe to a slab body and a single pickup, the working player's guitar. Left-handed builds like the SB59L come through regularly. Each listing is the exact guitar photographed, and sold models return with Eastman's next small-batch shipment.

What is the difference between the SB59 and the SB59/v?

Same guitar, different finish. The /v wears Eastman's hand-applied Antique Varnish, lightly aged at the factory so it looks and feels decades old. The standard SB59 has a gloss finish. Both have the same hand-carved top and hardware.

How does an Eastman SB59 compare to other single-cut guitars?
