Description
The Martin CEO-7 is a slope-shouldered 00 grand concert built on solid Adirondack spruce and solid mahogany, making it a strong choice for players who want vintage Martin construction in a compact, comfortable format. Adirondack spruce is known for high headroom and wide dynamic range-you can play softly for delicate fingerpicking or dig in hard without the top losing clarity or compression. Mahogany back and sides reinforce a focused midrange with dry, organic character that cuts through a mix without muddiness. The 24.9" scale reduces string tension compared to a standard long-scale instrument, which benefits fingerstyle players in particular. A modified V neck profile with standard taper gives the fretting hand a vintage feel with a natural thumb position along the back of the neck. The 16" fingerboard radius is relatively flat, supporting both chord work and single-note runs across the ebony board. Inside, scalloped Adirondack spruce X-bracing and a traditional dovetail neck joint align this guitar with Martin's period-correct building practices rather than its contemporary production methods. This guitar comes with a hardshell case, complimentary PLEK setup, and a limited lifetime warranty.
