The Boucher Limited LE-SG-162-MV is a handcrafted dreadnought built in Quebec, Canada, pairing a torrefied AAAAA Master Grade Adirondack Red Spruce top with AAAAA Quilted Maple back and sides - a combination that showcases some of Boucher's rarest tonewoods. Torrefaction heat-treats the spruce to reduce mass and increase stiffness, so the top responds quickly and produces a tonally mature voice well before a conventional spruce top would open up. The dreadnought format and 25.5" scale length together maximize projection and low-end authority, making this well-suited to players who need the guitar to carry in a live or studio setting without amplification. A forward-shifted, hand-scalloped X-brace pattern - shared across the SG family - adds responsiveness and tonal balance across the frequency range.
The solid ebony fingerboard and bridge contribute sustain and precise articulation, while the bone nut keeps string vibration transferring efficiently from first contact. South American mahogany handles the neck, and mother-of-pearl inlays mark the fingerboard positions.
