Description
The Charvel American Neo-Classic San Dimas Style 1 is a USA-built solidbody designed around the original San Dimas format, making it a strong choice for performance-oriented players who want domestic construction at a sub-$3,000 price. The alder body pairs with a quartersawn maple Speed Neck reproduced from 1980 specifications and reinforced with graphite rods, giving the neck consistent stability across temperature and humidity changes. A 12"-16" compound radius fingerboard means the fretboard gets progressively flatter toward the upper register, reducing note fretting-out during aggressive bends. Seymour Duncan's JB TB-4 at the bridge delivers punchy, high-gain-friendly output, while the '59 SH-1N at the neck stays articulate across clean tones and expressive leads. A 5-way blade switch adds coil-split combinations, broadening the tonal range beyond straight humbucker operation. The Floyd Rose 1000 Series double-locking tremolo handles dive bombs and wide-range tremolo use without compromising tuning stability. This guitar suits hard rock and shred-oriented players who want a USA-made instrument purpose-built for fast, lead-focused playing.
