The Charvel USA Select San Dimas Style 2 HH FR is a US-made performance superstrat built around fast-neck ergonomics, a Floyd Rose Original double-locking tremolo, and a DiMarzio Super Distortion/PAF Pro pickup pairing. The quartersawn maple neck resists environmental changes better than a standard sawn neck, and the 12"-to-16" compound-radius rosewood fingerboard flattens toward the upper registers for cleaner wide bends. The Speed Neck profile with rolled fingerboard edges reduces hand fatigue across extended playing sessions.
At 25.5" scale, the alder body delivers a balanced tonal foundation that lets both pickups do their intended work: the Super Distortion in the bridge is a high-output humbucker voiced for thick mids and pushed lows, while the PAF Pro in the neck provides articulate, mid-forward response suited to leads and cleaner passages. The Floyd Rose Original is mounted non-recessed, keeping dive-bombs and pitch shifts stable without the setup complications of a recessed cavity.
