The Eastman AC522CE-GB is an all-solid grand auditorium acoustic-electric built for players who need one guitar to cover both stage and practice room. The solid European spruce top over solid mahogany back and sides produces a balanced, warm tone with clear articulation across the frequency range. Hand-carved scalloped X-bracing reinforces the structural integrity of that tonewood pairing and contributes to dynamic response as you vary your picking attack. The cutaway body opens up the upper register for lead work and soloing without sacrificing the volume and low-end weight that a grand auditorium format provides. A 25.4" scale length with a 12" fingerboard radius and ebony board offer a familiar feel for players coming from standard-scale instruments.
The LR Baggs Element EAS VTC pickup delivers articulate, transparent amplified tone that tracks the natural dynamics of the instrument rather than coloring them. Eastman's Tone-Tite Neck System, developed in collaboration with luthier Dana Bourgeois, improves neck-to-body energy transfer and simplifies long-term setup adjustability via a dual-action truss rod. A side sound port directs acoustic projection toward the player, which is practical for monitoring yourself on stage without relying solely on a monitor mix. The guitar ships with a hardshell case.
