This is an original 1963 Fender Duo-Sonic - a pre-CBS instrument built before the 1964 redesign that changed the model's spec, making this particular configuration historically distinct. The alder body, maple neck, and rosewood fingerboard with clay dot inlays align with the pre-CBS Fender standard of the period, and the bone nut is a period-correct detail. At 22.5" scale length, string tension is noticeably reduced compared to a full-scale guitar, which makes bending and chord work easier and gives the instrument a different physical feel altogether.
