Description
This Fender Custom Shop '72 Thinline Telecaster Relic is a pre-owned example in excellent condition with minimal wear beyond the factory aging. Built on a semi-hollow alder body, it produces a warmer, more open response than a solid Telecaster while keeping the note definition and attack that Tele players expect. The dual Wide-Range CuNiFe humbuckers - wound to the original Seth Lover spec with copper-nickel-iron magnets - are articulate and punchy, delivering higher output and fuller midrange than standard Tele single-coils without losing the clarity that makes this platform versatile across country, rock, and soul applications.
The 1950 Blackguard neck profile on a plain-grain maple neck pairs with a 9.5"-12" compound-radius AAA rosewood fingerboard and bone nut, giving players a vintage feel that flattens out as you move up the neck. The Antigua finish is a period-correct Fender color from the 1970s, and the Custom Shop relic treatment is applied to a thin nitro lacquer for historically grounded aging rather than cosmetic distress. Comes with a Custom Shop hardshell case, and this guitar qualifies for our complimentary PLEK service and limited lifetime warranty.
