This pre-owned Gibson 1959 Les Paul Standard Reissue Ultra Light Aged in Factory Burst is a Custom Shop instrument built around laser-scanned period dimensions and hide-glue construction - a serious choice for players who want a historically accurate '59 Les Paul rather than a generic tribute. The one-piece lightweight mahogany body and hide-glue-fitted two-piece figured maple top deliver the mahogany-and-maple tonal balance the original 1959 standard is known for: full in the low end, articulate through the midrange, and responsive on lead. Unpotted Custombucker Alnico III humbuckers are Gibson Custom's PAF recreation, wound with unequal coil turns for vintage-style bite; they clean up well at the volume knob and reward touch-sensitive playing, so players looking for high-output or scooped modern tones should audition carefully.
The 24.75" scale and 12" fingerboard radius pair with a 50s Rounded Medium C neck profile - worth playing in person to confirm fit. This example is in very good condition with minimal wear beyond the factory aging treatment; note that the finish has begun to peel at the top of the headstock, which is disclosed here and reflected in the price.
