The Gibson 1963 SG Special Reissue Lightning Bar VOS is a Custom Shop reproduction of the stripped-down, P-90-loaded SG that defined the early 1960s Special. Its pair of Custom Soapbar P-90 pickups deliver a punchy, aggressive midrange with clear note separation, driven through a lightning bar wraparound bridge into a solid mahogany body and mahogany neck with a 1960s SlimTaper C profile and Indian rosewood fingerboard. The VOS finish treatment on the Cherry Red lacquer gives the guitar a lightly aged look without structural wear. Ships in a Custom Shop hardshell case with complimentary PLEK service performed in-house before shipping, a limited lifetime warranty, and free shipping to the continental U.S.
