Description
This pre-owned Gibson Historic 1958 Les Paul Reissue in Bourbon Burst is a Custom Shop solidbody built for players who want a vintage-accurate instrument rather than a production-line guitar. The mahogany body carries a carved plain maple top, and the 1958 neck profile is the rounder, fuller shape that distinguishes this model from the slimmer '59 and '60 reissues - a practical difference that players doing heavy rhythm work often prefer. At a 24.75" scale and 12" fingerboard radius on a rosewood board, the playing geometry is classic Les Paul throughout. BurstBucker pickups are voiced to capture late-'50s PAF character - warm and balanced, with enough output for clean headroom and natural breakup through a driven amp. The aged Tune-O-Matic bridge contributes stable intonation and transfer from the body. This example weighs 8 lb 13.2 oz, which is comfortable for a mahogany Les Paul. It shows some scratches, dings, and binding bleed consistent with prior play, all detailed in our condition photos. A hardshell case is included. Complimentary PLEK setup and our limited lifetime warranty apply at this price point.
