Description
The Gibson J-45 '50s Original is a vintage-spec acoustic built on all-solid tonewood construction-solid Sitka spruce top over solid mahogany back, sides, and neck-with hand-scalloped X-bracing that gives the top room to open up and project dynamically. The spruce-and-mahogany combination produces a warm, midrange-forward voice that sits naturally under a vocal, with articulate highs and enough low-end body to fill a room without overwhelming a mix. The 24.75" scale length keeps string tension relaxed, and the rounded 50s neck profile is fuller than the current J-45 Standard-a feel that works well for open chords, strumming, and fingerpicking. The LR Baggs VTC pickup is a transparent, stage-ready system with soundhole-mounted volume and tone controls; it preserves the guitar's acoustic character when plugged in rather than coloring it. Bone nut and saddle, a rosewood bridge, and a gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish round out a spec sheet aimed at players who want vintage construction without having to chase down a vintage guitar. This is a strong choice for singer-songwriters and acoustic performers who need an instrument that works equally well in a living room and on a stage. A Gibson hardshell case is included, and at this price point it comes with our complimentary PLEK service and a limited lifetime warranty.
