The J-45 Standard Red Spruce is a step up from Gibson's standard J-45 offering, swapping the sitka spruce top for Adirondack red spruce - a tonewood known for greater stiffness and dynamic headroom that lets the guitar respond more expressively under a heavy strumming hand. The mahogany back and sides keep the midrange focused, while the LR Baggs VTC pickup captures that acoustic tone accurately without coloring it.
