Description
The Gibson Les Paul Standard '50s in Goldtop is a USA-made solidbody built around the construction approach of the original 1950s Standard - a non-weight-relieved mahogany body with a carved maple top and no chambers, which contributes directly to the sustain and punch you get at stage volume. The '50s Vintage neck profile is a substantial, rounded shape that suits players who prefer a hand-filling grip, whether you're playing open chords or single-note lines on the 24.75" scale. Calibrated Burstbucker 1 and 2 pickups, both wound with Alnico 2 magnets and hand-wired through Orange Drop capacitors, voice themselves after early PAF-style humbuckers - the neck pickup delivering warm, rounded response suited to clean work and smooth leads, the bridge adding focused bite for rhythm and more cutting lines. The volume and tone controls respond predictably to rolling adjustments, giving you a wide tonal range without swapping guitars. Hardware is all gold and vintage-correct: ABR-1 bridge, aluminum Stop Bar tailpiece, and Vintage Deluxe tuners. A Graph Tech nut and a Gibson hardshell case are included. This guitar suits players who want USA-built Les Paul construction and PAF-voiced tone without stepping up to Historic reissue pricing.
