The Gibson Les Paul Standard '60s Figured Top is a solidbody electric built around the early-1960s Les Paul formula: mahogany body and neck, AA figured maple cap, and a Slim Taper neck profile that makes it the faster-playing counterpart to the '50s model. The 24.75" scale length and 12" fingerboard radius deliver the classic Les Paul feel - natural compression, strong sustain, and bend-friendly frets that don't choke out at the upper end. A calibrated pair of '60s Burstbucker humbuckers (61R neck, 61T bridge) uses unbalanced coil windings and Alnico V magnets to replicate the unpotted PAF character of the originals, with an articulate high-end response that tightens up further when pushed into overdrive.
The control cavity is hand-wired with audio-taper pots and orange drop capacitors, and a GraphTech nut adds tuning stability over traditional materials. The ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge and stop bar tailpiece are period-correct hardware choices. At just over 9 lbs, this is a heavier instrument - typical of non-weight-relieved mahogany construction - so a wide strap is worth factoring in. This guitar suits players who want a production-line USA-made Les Paul with traditional tonewoods, a nitrocellulose finish, and lead-focused playability, and comes with a hardshell case included.
