Description
The Southern Jumbo Original is Gibson's workhorse slope-shoulder dreadnought, built on the same platform that made the SJ a staple in American roots, country, and folk playing since the 1940s. The mahogany back and sides paired with a Sitka spruce top produce a focused, warm voice that sits well in a mix without fighting for headroom, and the 24.75" scale with slim taper neck keeps the feel familiar to players coming from electric backgrounds. The LR Baggs VTC keeps the amplified signal honest, adding minimal coloration when you need to plug in. This one ships in a hardshell case and includes our complimentary PLEK setup and limited lifetime warranty.
