Description
The Martin 000-10E Retro is an all-solid acoustic-electric built for players who want a dependable, stage-ready instrument without moving into custom-shop territory. The pairing of a solid spruce top with solid sapele back and sides is a meaningful spec at this price point - solid wood construction responds and develops in ways that laminate simply cannot. Sapele behaves similarly to mahogany, emphasizing warm midrange presence and clear note separation, while the ebony fingerboard and ebony modern belly bridge sharpen attack and definition. The 000 auditorium body sits between a parlor and a dreadnought in size, producing a balanced response that works well for both fingerstyle and strummed playing. A 24.9" scale length reduces string tension slightly compared to a standard long-scale Martin, and the PA neck profile with High-Performance Taper gives the upper register an open, accessible feel. The Martin E1 electronics include volume and tone controls, a phase switch, and an onboard chromatic tuner, so the guitar is plug-in-ready without any additional investment. A softshell case is included.
