The Martin 00-18 Joe Bonamassa is a Grand Concert acoustic built to replicate Bonamassa's personally owned 1937 00-18, with Golden Era scalloped X-bracing, mahogany back and sides, and a solid spruce top - the same structural combination that defines pre-war Martin tone. The bracing pattern enhances resonance and dynamic response in ways that modern non-scalloped construction typically doesn't, and the mahogany body delivers warm low-end with punchy midrange and articulate treble. An ebony fingerboard and bridge, along with a bone nut and saddle, bring the build above standard production spec.
The 24.9" scale length and GE Modified Low Oval neck with standard taper give this guitar a vintage-inspired feel that suits blues, fingerstyle, folk, and studio recording. The 1937 Joe Bonamassa Sunburst finish cosmetically replicates the exact wear pattern of Joe's original instrument - including faux tortoise binding - without actual relic work, so you get the pre-war aesthetic with full modern reliability.
