The Martin 0-17 is an all-mahogany acoustic in the Concert body format, built on Martin's Golden Era design principles and aimed at players who want focused midrange character without a spruce top. Solid mahogany on the top, back, and sides shifts the tonal balance away from the open, airy response of a spruce-topped guitar toward a warmer, mid-forward sound with clear note definition - a distinction worth understanding before you buy. The 0/Concert body is one of Martin's smaller formats, which keeps the guitar comfortable for extended fingerstyle sessions and suits quieter, more intimate playing contexts.
The GE Modified Low Oval neck with High-Performance Taper and a 24.9" short scale reduce string tension compared to a standard long-scale guitar, and the ebony fingerboard provides a precise, responsive playing surface.
