Description
The Martin D-28 is a dreadnought built entirely from solid tonewoods - Sitka spruce top, East Indian rosewood back and sides, ebony fingerboard and bridge - and represents one of the longer-running designs in acoustic guitar production, in continuous production since 1931. The GE-scalloped, forward-shifted X-bracing maximizes top responsiveness, giving the guitar strong projection with defined bass and clear treble response whether you're flatpicking, strumming, or playing fingerstyle. The GE Modified Low Oval neck with High-Performance Taper runs a 25.4" scale length over a 16" radius fingerboard, which flattens string tension across the board and suits players who move quickly across positions. Bone nut and saddle, along with the ebony bridge, contribute to sustain and note-to-note clarity. The aging toner is applied directly to the spruce top before the nitrocellulose lacquer, giving the guitar the amber character of a worn-in instrument from day one. This guitar includes a hardshell case, complimentary PLEK setup, and a limited lifetime warranty through Righteous Guitars.
