The Martin GPC-13E Modern is a cutaway grand performance acoustic-electric built around a solid spruce top and koa fine veneer back and sides, making it a strong choice for players who need one guitar to handle both stage and studio. The Venetian cutaway gives you clean access to the upper register, while the 25.4" scale and scalloped X-bracing help the spruce top project with clarity across fingerpicking, flatpicking, and strumming. The Performing Artist neck profile with high-performance taper produces a slender, modern feel that translates well for electric players moving to acoustic, and the 16" fingerboard radius supports single-note runs as comfortably as chord work.
Ebony on both the fingerboard and bridge adds stiffness and durability at contact points where it matters most. The Martin E1 electronics system keeps controls - volume, tone, phase-reverse, and a chromatic tuner - tucked inside the soundhole, preserving a clean exterior while giving you reliable on-stage functionality including silent tuning without unplugging.
